What to Wear for the Fourth of July

Ok you guys I don’t want to sound dramatic but HOW IS IT ALREADY ALMOST JULY FOURTH?! Apologies for the all caps but that is my state of mind right now. Inevitably summer always goes by way too fast, I know we have some time but June was a blip. Anyhoo, I am really excited for July fourth this year because it’s on a Wednesday which feels like a good excuse for everyone to take a week off? Just throwing that out there. So, let’s talk about what to wear for the Fourth of July. Whether you’re beaching, boating or BBQing I pulled together some easy and effortless outfit ideas. We don’t have plans yet but I am really hoping for a beach day followed by a cookout on our new porch (if we finish it in time). What are you guys up to for the holiday?

I LOVE this Solid & Striped one piece (wearing a size small). I have it in multiple colors because I love the style so much. It’s comfortable and flattering and this one is perfect for July 4th. A chambray button down is the perfect cover-up and a red bandana scarf is the best accessory.

It’s sweater weather all year round in New England. This lightweight Lovers + Friends Sweater is perfect for summer. Wear it with jeans (this is one of my favorite pairs, run tts) or throw it on over your bathing suit. Add a silk scarf like this one from Anthropologie. The sweater runs big so size down. I wore this outfit with these sandals in the red suede. They’re so comfortable I ended up getting another pair in yellow.

Some of you may have seen this Sezane sweater when I shared on my Instagram a few weeks ago. Sadly it is sold out in this color but it is available in white (which I am seriously debating because it’s such a good knit). It’s perfect to throw on over your bikini or bathing suit with denim shorts, I live in this pair from AGolde. Add some delicate gold jewelry (I’m wearing my Missoma necklaces-see below) put some salt spray in your hair and you’re good to go.
