What To Do In Woodstock, VT This Week
Monday, August 7th
Town Hall Theater Movie-
Head to the Town Hall Theatre no matter the weather, to enjoy the Monday evening film screening. This week’s movie is Barbie. Beginning at 7:30pm, enjoy the famous maple popcorn and a fun flick with your friends and family. Movies are also screened on Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7:30pm.
Wednesday, August 9th
Woodstock Market on the Green
Come enjoy Woodstock’s weekly Market on the Green, every Wednesday from 3-6pm. Local vendors set up each week to display everything from fresh flower bouquets to pottery, jewelry, shave ice, pizza, farm fresh produce and so much more! With live music each week, Market on the Green is an opportunity for a lovely stroll through the village center experiencing all that this community has to offer.
Music on the Hill at Artist Tree with Rose Hip Jam
Woodstock has some wonderful weekly Outdoor Concert series and Music on the Hill at Artist Tree is a favorite. Head to Pomfret, Vermont to enjoy music up on the hill with epic views of Saskadena Six. This week’s performers, Rose Hip Jam, an energetic mix of folk, folk rock, country and delta blues. Bring a chair, blanket and pack a picnic to enjoy music on the hill! Music begins at 6PM and tickets are $10, head to the website to purchase tickets in advance!
Thursday, August 10th
Art Exploration Center
Head to the Marsh-Billings-National Historical Park to enjoy a family-friendly day creating art at the Art Exploration Center in the Horse Shed at the Artist-in-Residence Studio. Observe art making demonstrations, drawing activities, painting and more! The Art Exploration Center is open from 11am-4pm. Parking is available in the Billings Farm & Museum lot. Feast and Field
Quite possibly our favorite outdoor concert venue, Feast and Field in Barnard, Vermont is one you won’t want to miss while in town. Enjoy the picturesque, quintessential Vermont Fable Farm setting as you enjoy fresh local foods, beverages and excellent live music. Bring your chairs and blankets and set up a spot to enjoy the evening amongst a thriving and lively community. This week’s entertainment, is Miss Tess with some honky tonk blues. Tickets are sliding scale $5-25 and kids are free. Gates open at 5:30pm and live music begins at 6pm. Pre-order food and tickets here!
Friday, August 11th
Music By the River with The Tricksters
Head down to East End Park for the FREE Music by the River concert series from 6-7:30PM (lawn opens at 5:30PM). This week featuring a pop rock band, The Tricksters. Bring chairs, blankets and a picnic to enjoy amongst the beautiful outdoor amphitheater and riverside setting. Note: Outdoor concerts are being held at the Village Green due to flooding in the area this summer, rain location is the Town Hall Theatre. Saturday, August 12th
Garden Day
Billings Farm & Museum and the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park are partnering for Garden Day! Head to both Billings Farm and the National Park for a day of garden tours, bouquet making, educational programs, lawn games and more! Admission for the National Park is free for the day but required for entry at Billings Farm. The event will go from 10am-4pm.
Taste of Woodstock
Taste of Woodstock is one of the communities favorite summer events. Elm Street closes each year to make way for over 50 street vendors to set up booths with delicious local food, artisan made pottery and jewelry, wine, beer, spirits and fun activities and crafts for kids. The streets are bustling with music, chatter and joy and it’s a lovely summer event for the whole family to enjoy! Catch Taste of Woodstock right in the village center from 10am-6pm!
Mt. Tom Farmer’s Market
Every Saturday, May through October head to the Mt. Tom Farmer’s Market for all your fresh produce, local artisan goodies, and flower needs. Open 10am-1pm every Saturday- you won’t want miss the best of our local communities hard-work and passions.
Sunday, August 13th
Forest Discovery Center
This interactive program for families at the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park includes hands-on learning stations, arts and crafts and a reading/puppet corner. The Forest Discovery Center will run every Sunday through August from 11am-4pm with a new theme each week!
