What I Packed for Upstate New York

My first visit to the Catskills a few weeks ago was such a great way to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life and enjoy some quiet moments and fresh air. It was something totally different than my usual weekend getaway. You’ll usually find me eating and drinking my way around a city at all the recommended hot spots and local gems. But man, this one felt great. I actually relaxed. We spent the majority of time at our Airbnb, a true cabin in the woods, and only left for hiking and a casual dinner in the town center. As you can imagine, my packing was pretty minimal and mostly brought along for function: sturdy boots for hiking and trail walks, a comfy workout set to explore and lounge in, and a simple t-shirt dress for when we did venture out for a meal, with a few additions. I certainly left the Catskills feeling refreshed, and more inspired to take off-the-grid getaways. Fall is the perfect time to get away somewhere quiet and cozy. Anyone have fall weekend trips planned?

I love that Everlane sweatshirt! What do you think of the fit? Is it really short in the torso?

For me, the fit (as with all Everlane tops/ sweaters I’ve tried) are very true to size — I’m a size small and the length hits just below my waist — I also consider myself to have an average to short torso. I hope that helps! — Jess

They’re amazing for trail walking and hikes — sturdy on the ankles and good traction too! — Jess
