If we’re being totally honest, I wasn’t super thrilled about Pantone’s color of the year, greenery, when it was first announced. Don’t get me wrong I can totally get on board with green, it’s one of my favorite colors to wear because I have green eyes so it makes my eye color pop. However I lean towards deeper/darker greens, earthier neutral tones. I forgot about the color almost entirely until I found this skirt at Ann Taylor and I thought I would give it a try. The interesting thing about the color is that it kind of goes with everything. With that in mind I thought I’d share two ways to wear it.
You can go subtle and incorporate greenery with a silk neck scarf like this one. Tie it around your neck or onto your handbag. Or you can go a bit more bold with a statement piece like this pleated skirt. I styled it a bit more casually but it would be perfect for work with pumps or booties and a fitted blazer and turtleneck sweater. I’m willing to give it a shot, what do you guys think?
Wow that shade of green looks stunning on you! I, myself have never been a fan of the color green on me, but the outfit you put together makes me change my mind!
