How To Wear A Tunic Sweater

A few weekends ago Craig and I took a quick weekend getaway to Boston for our birthdays. It also happened to be the coldest weekend we’ve had so far. Luckily we stayed at the Loews Boston Hotel (once home to the Boston Police Headquarters) which was conveniently located in Back Bay- one of my favorite Boston neighborhoods. We spent the weekend walking around Boston, exploring the area around the Loews and of course walking down Newbury Street. We brunched at Kitchen (order the donuts) and then did some Christmas shopping.

Boston is one of my favorite cities to explore on foot. There’s so much history and it’s small enough that you can cover a lot of ground walking. There’s so many beautiful parks and buildings around the city, particularly near our hotel.

After a long day of walking we settled on dinner at Lolita which I highly recommend if you’re in Boston and in the mood for Mexican. Since it was a chilly night and the Patriots were playing Sunday night football we decided to hunker down in our cozy room and watch the game on the enormous flat screen tv in our room. We snacked on the most delicious charcuterie plate (seriously one of the best I’ve ever had) and wine and cheered on the Patriots for our cozy king bed. If you’re thinking about a weekend getaway I can’t recommend the Loews Boston enough. Great convenient location, excellent service and our room was quiet, big and cozy. We can’t wait to go back!
