This time of year is always hardest for me when it comes to personal style. I am so sick of bundling up in tons of layers and coats but it’s just not warm enough to break out a full on spring wardrobe. We’ve been lucky with a fairly mild winter (I am knocking on wood as I type that) and have had some beautiful spring-like days recently. We also just had a massive snowstorm so I’m not holding my breath. The in between, and sometimes dreadfully long period between winter and spring, can be a tricky time for fashion. My approach this year is classic neutrals like these suede round toe pumps from Ann Taylor and this cashmere sweater, layered over staples like a white button down. Of course my go-to is denim, but if you wanted to make this ensemble work appropriate just add a pencil skirt or cropped trousers.
Craig and I are on the road again, this time headed to California. First we spend a few days in San Francisco with my brothers and then head down to Santa Barbara to see my Mom. Of course I’ve been checking the forecast every day because they’ve had a ton of rain but it looks like the sun will be back just in time for our visit. Fingers crossed.

I have been loving GRLFRND’s Spring styles! How would you say sizing runs?
xx, Danielle
Me too! I think they run pretty TTS. Some styles have less stretch than others, most feel like a true denim so they fit better after a wear or two.
I tend to err on the side of being warmer this time of year, even though I’m itching to get my spring things out! Love that hat on you!
