The Spring 2023 Trend I’m Wearing Now

How To Wear A Tunic Sweater

This blog post is in partnership with Sézane.

We have another snow storm headed our way this week, but I’m already thinking of spring. Even if it’s not making it’s arrival for quite some time, I’m finding ways to bring it into my wardrobe. I’ve been enjoying adding some color to brighten things up. You know I’m not one to jump on trends. But I like to follow along and see what’s popping up in the fashion scene.

There are some spring 2023 trends I am excited for like lilac, florals, and statement stripes. And some I can leave behind like low rise jeans (no thanks, not happening). But one spring 2023 trend I’m wearing right now is cobalt blue. Cobalt is a vibrant blue that is also incredibly versatile which is why I love it for my wardrobe. Even for the neutral lover, it’s a gorgeous shade to pair with everything from white jeans to printed trousers and midi skirts. Sézane just launched their pre-spring collection and today I’m rounding up some of my favorite cobalt blue pieces for spring along with some ideas for how to wear them. Don’t miss my Sézane shopping guide with sizing info.

The Spring 2023 Trend I’m Wearing Now

I was so excited to get the new Le Crop Jeans from Sézane (they’re sold out but you can sign up for restocks!). They’re 100% organic cotton with a high waist, ankle length and slightly flared leg. I was hoping to wear them to Florida but our trip was postponed and they’re actually so great to wear now especially on the warmer, sunnier days. The Jose Jumper was the perfect cobalt blue sweater that keeps me warm but adds a nice pop of color to my wardrobe. Since our spring weather is very delayed I love that I can have bright spring colors that are functional and stylish. It’s a nice chunky knit but not too think and a slightly cropped length. I sized down (check out my sizing guide here) and it fits just right.

For this winter appropriate outfit that has spring vibes I wore the Will Jacket (wool lined), Le Crop Jeans, Jose Jumper, and the Jules boots that I absolutely love. I went a half size up in the Jules boots. I accessorized with the Pio Scarf (it’s oversized and warm) and my Heritage Victor Bag.

What to Wear with Cobalt Blue

I’m not one to wear tons of bright colors, but what I love about cobalt is how it can be worn with so many neutrals and classics. Cobalt looks great with shades of beige and brown, white, and black. It also looks chic with other shades of blue, like denim and navy.

The Jose Jumper would look chic with these camel checked trousers or these ankle length creamy white wool trousers. You could also pair it with this light beige midi skirt or light wash denim. Cobalt also looks great with navy, like the Mederick Coat. Whether you opt for a chunky knit sweater, cotton tee, striped shirt or cobalt earrings, there are plenty of ways to incorporate this bright and cheery hue into your wardrobe, now and into spring.

A boxy cardigan style jacket like the Betty Cardigan looks so chic with brown or beige trousers. Add a pop of color to white jeans with a cobalt cotton tee or accessorize with cobalt raffia earrings. If stripes are your thing, this stripe mariniere is a chic and timeless option to pair with everything from jeans and sneakers to a blazer and booties.

It’s such a pity, that they don’t stop sing plastic in their clothes. 🙁 Would Love that color but not at that “price” 🙄
