The Sandals I Wore All Over San Francisco

Jess Ann Kirby explores San Francisco in an Anthropologie bandana and velvet army jacket

Confession, I had to buy another pair of these Kork-Ease Torreya sandals because my Mom loved them so much I gave her this pair when we were in San Francisco. Kork-Ease has always been one of my favorite brands for stylish, comfortable shoes. I love how the brand has vintage roots and a retro-inspired vibe, which is exactly why I had to style these in San Francisco. I have to admit I didn’t break them in before we left, so I was blown away I could wear them for an entire day of walking around San Francisco. We explored neighborhoods from our rental all the way to Fort Mason overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and they were so comfortable (walking several miles). I got them in black because I think they have a retro feel that’s also a little edgy. They come in gold which would be so cute with a pair of denim cut-offs, and the blush would look great with a flowy printed dress for spring. There’s really nothing I love more than stylish pieces that are practical AND comfortable, it’s basically my goal with every outfit, especially when I’m traveling and exploring. I just have to make sure I check in with my Mom before we go anywhere together so there’s no accidental twinning, haha.

I have been looking all over for something like these! Just ordered! Thanks for sharing, it’s so hard to find comfortable footwear that you can walk far in. I agree, that I want to look good, but it’s got to feel good too.

How would you compare them to similarly styled Birkenstocks?
