The Razor Brand Taking on the Pink Tax

You’ve probably heard of the pink tax by now, but if not, here’s a rundown. The pink tax is the extra amount of money women pay for a variety of things including everyday items like deodorant, tampons and yes, razors. Billie is a body brand taking on the pink tax. Their $9 starter kit includes a razor, two cartridges, and a magnetic holder (it held up in my outdoor shower!). Then ongoing delivery for replacements (4 cartridges) is $9, and you can decide when you need them. The razors are seriously good, I got a super close shave with no razor burn or missed stubbly patches. They’re encased in charcoal shave soap for a smoother glide.

I think one of my favorite things about the brand is what they call Project Body Hair. They’re the first women’s razor brand to show hair. Crazy right? Think about all those razor commercials and ads you’ve seen full of women shaving perfectly smooth legs. We have body hair, it’s about time brands show what that actually looks like.

It gets better though, Billie products are made with natural ingredients and have no parabens or sulfates, no synthetic fragrance, and are never tested on animals. Yassss. The shave cream is made with aloe and shea butter so it’s really nourishing and soothing. Normally my legs are so dry after I shave and they felt soft and silky. The body wash is also ultra moisturizing and has a nice lather. It smells heavenly too. Big props to Billie for changing the shaving game. Good-bye forever store bought razors.
