That first full week back always feels so long doesn’t it? Especially when you simultaneously start Konmari’ing your entire life. Anyoo, in case you missed it, in December I started a new series called The Great 8, where I share some of my favorite things and most popular items from the previous month. Scroll down for more of what I’ve been loving.
One
Football fan or not, this was a binge-worthy listen from Wondery. Through new documents, interviews, and never before heard audio from his time in prison, the Boston Globe’s Spotlight Team investigates the story of Aaron Hernandez. From his troubled past to his time in college and eventually a star player on the New England Patriots, there’s much of his story that has never been told, until now. A very eye opening and thought provoking listen.

I was so happy to hear how many of you received Missoma London as gifts over the holidays. My favorite is the initial pendant necklace by Fee Greening, a friend of mine was wearing hers at my cousin’s NYE wedding. It’s such a great conversation piece and so unique. I wear mine every day. It’s also on sale right now!

Is it weird that one of the most shopped items from December were salt and pepper grinders? No, the answer is absolutely not. In fact, it brings me great joy because it was one of my favorite purchases. I have the dark green set in my kitchen and I just love them.

As part of my partnership with Follain last month they offered this clean essentials skincare starter set for $25 AND free shipping. I’m a big fan of all the products in the set, particularly the toner which I use everyday and the recovery cream that I use as my night cream. If you’re looking to try some clean skincare brands this is an awesome introduction. It also makes a great gift, I keep them on hand for house-warming, new Moms, etc. Everyone loves it.
Five
Not totally surprised this was the most popular blog post from December. Tis the season for hibernation and binge watching. I’m still sad I finished the new season of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel so quickly, loved that show. I think I could honestly make that a recurring blog post because I already have so many new shows to add to this list.

I decided in December that 2019 is the year of the capsule wardrobe, and from what I’ve seen so far, the internet agrees. Blame it on Marie Kondo, but I love the idea of a more simplistic approach to dressing. More to come on that, but to get inspired I started a Pinterest board you can follow here.

According to Domino Mag, 2018 was the year of the kitchen, so it’s no surprise maybe that this was the most liked photo in December, and the overall most liked photos on my Instagram were all of @thecozyranch kitchen. I’m excited to share more about our new Cafe Appliances, we’ve been using them for about a month now and I love them.
Eight
Believe the hype, the magical $60 curling wand by Kristen Ess is awesome. Compared to my other wand which is three times the price, I honestly didn’t notice any difference (my other wand has interchangeable wand sizes though which is nice). Not sure how to use it? Check out my tutorial here, it couldn’t be easier.
Jess, #4 intrigued me and they still have the promotion going so I got myself some new green skincare products to try! They look amazing and the reviews are incredible. Thanks for passing along some great savings to your followers! Being from the Northeast myself (Western MA) my sensitive skin takes a beating in the winter so I’m up for trying anything to keep dryness at bay.
Love how you styled those gold pieces!!! I definitely need that initial necklace.
