Tarotstrology: Aquarius Season Tarotscopes
Today marks the end of a journey – no, I’m not talking about Biden’s inauguration (even though I could be!) – our trip around the zodiac wheel together. Can you believe it? When we began this series, Jess and I had no idea what the world was in for over the coming year, but intuitively we knew we wanted to offer energetic support to this incredible community. It feels oh-so-very fitting to end with Aquarius – a progressive, idealistic sign that reminds us that individual healing and the pursuit of collective betterment can (and must) co-exist. May we all act on that truth.
Aquarius Season Tarotscopes
Below you’ll find a mini reading for each sign that takes into account 3 cards for your Aquarius season (January 20 – February 19):
1. The Star
2. The Major Arcana card your sign rules
3. An intuitive pull – just like in a reading with me – for each sign
In Tarot, Aquarius rules The Star – the 17th card of the Major Arcana. This next month or so, we are being asked to takedeep breaths, keep (or renew) our faith, and put an emphasis on healing. Is it possible to tend to the places that hurt while sowing seeds of hope for a less painful, more loving future.
Aquarius — The Star
Two of Pentacles
You’ve only got two hands, Aquarius – only 24 hours in the day, only so much energy and brain power to give. Your work this season, as you begin your next trip around the sun, is to, well, work a little less. Strengthen your boundaries, learn when to sign off and remember that focus is a form of magic. Time is elastic and you may just find it expanding to suit your truest desires.
Aquarius rules The Star, a card that teaches us about healing and nonconformity.
Pisces — The Moon
Four of Swords
It’s time to lay your head down, Pisces. Literally. Have a nap, stare at the ceiling, give yourself some time to lean back and lean into the void. Consider it recovery time – you’ve been working hard, pushing forward, making changes and adapting to all kinds of new-normal, and in order to continue, you need a break – plan and simple.
Pisces rules The Moon, a card that teaches us about our inner depths and wildness.
Aries — The Emperor
Knight of Pentacles
Energy goes where attention flows, Aries, and the depth of that stream really does matter. How can you show up more fully – mentally, emotionally and spiritually – for the things you hope to bring to life? Taking the time to commit to the future whole-heartedly tends to illuminate our best path forward before we even take the first step.
Aries rules The Emperor, a card that teaches us about power and personal sovereignty.
Taurus — The Hierophant
Ace of Cups
Your creativity is demanding a little breathing room, Taurus! If you’ve been visiting the well of inspiration and finding it rather dry lately, the time to actively refill is now. Reconnect with the things that bring you joy, the people who light you up, the purpose or values that keep you going well after you think you’ve hit the wall. What does it look like to tend to your artistry like a garden?
Taurus rules The Hierophant, a card that teaches us about truths and spiritual insight.
Gemini — The Lovers
Eight of Pentacles
Dedication and commitment are your love languages this season, Gemini. Quick fixes sound nice, but they rarely leave us feeling more skilled, more qualified, or better prepared for the next time trouble arises. The vibrancy of your dreams can be explored in each decision, each detail, and each time you show up again to improve, ever so slightly, over yesterday.
Gemini rules The Lovers, a card that teaches us about balance and harmony.
Cancer — The Chariot
Nine of Pentacles
Look how far you’ve come, Cancer! If you never look up, notice our surroundings, it’s hard to truly grasp how much progress you’ve made. In fact, you may end up a little disoriented or woozy (where the hell am I!?) Take a minute (or more preferably) to appreciate the strides you’ve taken – acknowledge the work you’ve done without the caveat of what’s left to do.
Cancer rules The Chariot, a card that teaches us about alignment and forward momentum.
Leo — Strength
Ace of Pentacles
Are you ready for an upgrade my Leo loves? Change is coming – better put, change is CALLING. Something is nudging you towards transformation. Before you jump to the pro-con list, allow yourself a little play within this new vision – what would it feel like to really go for the change you desire? Can you move gently in that direction without sowing seeds of doubt before the fun even begins?
Leo rules Strength, a card that teaches us about resilience and vulnerability.
Virgo — The Hermit
Nine of Cups
You’re done playing small, Virgo! Over the past few months, you may have become aware of places where you downplay your expertise, your opinion, your enthusiasm. You’re ready to practice taking up a bit more space, not as a power play, but as an act of self love and in the name of healing. You have so much to be proud of, and the only person you need to prove that to is yourself.
Virgo rules The Hermit, a card that teaches us about going within and pacing ourselves.
Libra — Justice
The Moon
Float in the deep waters of your intuition, Libra. I’m really imagining you in a lazy river – unwinding, spending time with your emotions, checking in on your dreams. You need that! This month, match the efforts of your recent action with recuperation in order to make sure you are calibrated to your true north.
Libra rules Justice, a card that teaches us about equality and, well, justice.
Scorpio — Death
Ace of Swords
It may be time for a new perspective, Scorpio! You know that feeling of looking at something too often or too closely, but then you take a walk or a break and BOOM it all makes sense. That’s this entire season for you. This is the invitation to expand your thinking (and maybe even change your mind). The more you let your mind wander, the quicker you will find the clarity you’ve been waiting for.
Scorpio rules Death, a card that teaches us about impermanence and rebirth.
Sagittarius — Temperance
Six of Cups
How’s your heart Sagittarius? It may not have recently been broken, but has it been cared for? You are at your strongest when you lead with your heart, but right now there is some fear there – fear of failure, of being hurt again, of vulnerability! But the head can never guide us where the heart can, so whatever you can do to tend to that true part of yourself is highly encouraged.
Sagittarius rules Temperance, a card that teaches us about co-creation and alchemy.
Capricorn — Devil
Wheel of Fortune
Release the steering wheel, Capricorn – give those white knuckles a break! It’s time to stop losing sleep over the things you can-not, never-have, and will-never control and use that energy to make peace with the unknown. Take pride in the work you do to stay in alignment, not simply the outcomes that follow. The work may actually be the only reward we can count on.
Capricorn rules The Devil, a card that teaches us about addiction and liberation.
