Simple Holiday Decorating Tips

Eucalyptus wreath over Anthropologie mirror | The Best Black Friday and Cyber Week Sales
Thanksgiving has come and gone and that can only mean one thing, it’s time to decorate. I usually save most of my decorating for after Thanksgiving. I love the house to feel festive and cozy. As many of you know, our house is quite small, so I like to put festive decorations and touches in each room. Just in time for some amazing sales, I’m partnering with West Elm to share some simple holiday decorating tips and ideas. Now we just need a tree!

Get Cozy with Throw Blankets

I don’t know who loves a cozy throw blanket more, me or the dogs. We love to curl up on the couch with a faux fur throw (50% off right now) and snuggle in front of the fire. I love the soft texture they add to a room, whether you have them on the couch, your bed, or in a basket next to the sofa. This cotton fisherman throw is a nice neutral touch.

Set the Mood with Candlelight

I am all about ambience, and I love how candles can transform the vibe of a room. We have these brass candleholders in two different sizes on our mantle and they look extra festive with greenery and this glittery garland.

Make it Festive with Greenery

West Elm has a really nice selection of wreaths and greenery. I get so many compliments on these eucalyptus wreaths I have in the kitchen and master bedroom. This eucalyptus bundle is festive but also will last past the holidays (and for a nice winter treat tie it upside down behind your shower for a soothing steam).

I just loved the decorations and the blue colors and wreaths on the front door. I was pretty out of control I think with your recommendations for sales. I started with Anthropology home sale from a very different blue quilt to your pink faux throw on sale . Then on to Missoma and J.Crew. I was back again to those great vintage suitcases at Anthropology with a tag and MZ Wallace tote. I got a we color rose gold. I’ll have to look at everything and pick what I need the most. I think it’s really okay to say the Holidays are hard for me this year, but I’m so very happy for everyone who is so blessed to have a lot of family close and at the table. Your house is so very beautiful Jess❤️

Haha! I’m not glad to hear you have gone a bit overboard at all , but at least I know I’m not the only person who does that at times. I know it doesn’t make what I feel go away at all, but I e always lived the magic of the holidays and I don’t want to stop feeling that feeling. Things don’t replace deep hurt, they just perk me up for the moment and then I have to think over if I truly need it. There were too many things I loved on sale. Now after walking into my closet , I too need to make some decisions. Not e wcutive tbough. Lol. Practical! Thanks as always for your kindness. P.S. I can’t seem to part with the Rose Gold MZ Wallace Tote!!! Lol
