FAUX SHEARLING REVERSIBLE COAT // OVERSIZE SUNGLASSES // PONCHO (under $40!) // TURTLENECK SWEATER (also love this one from Talbots for $130) // WIDE BRIM WOOL HAT // BOOTIES // PLAID SCARF // LEATHER TOTE // OVER THE KNEE BOOTS

As I sit in my office this morning wrapped in sweaters and blankets I can’t help but start thinking about my winter wardrobe. While these pieces are my fall essentials, they can easily transition into the next season (though even thinking about winter makes me want to cry). The pieces I keep reaching for in my everyday wardrobe are warm, versatile and comfortable. This faux shearling coat is a beautiful neutral and it’s reversible. I can’t get enough of turtleneck sweaters this season, great styled with jeans or a pencil skirt. A poncho or cape is another easy way to keep warm and stay chic. I was very excited to break out my over the knee boots this week. Stuart Weitzman makes several options that are all gorgeous. For a less expensive alternative Sam Edelman makes a pair that are gorgeous and half the price. Plaid scarves are still a favorite, I like this one from Talbots because it’s a bit more versatile. These ankle booties have been a huge hit, they’re really comfortable and also come in black and tan.

Also there’s a few must shop sales this weekend. Anthropologie is 20% off all full price apparel with code FALLFUN. I love these high waisted jeans and this peplum top. French Connection is having a sale on all coats and jackets. Get 30% off w/ code FC30CJ I have this coat (styled here) and love it for layering. For something with a little more shape this is a great fall/winter coat. Velvet, one of my favorite brands right now is 25% off everything w/ code FRIENDS15. I live in this plaid button down and fringe sweater.

  1. Love a lot of these pieces, so classic! I’d love a pair of SW boots, working up to pull the trigger on them!
