Why don’t I ever wear red? A question I’ve asked myself since I wore this combo a few days ago. I think I’ve always been a little intimated by it because the color makes such a statement, but I am officially on board and there’s no turning back. Of course a head-to-toe red outfit is great for holiday but it’s wearable beyond seasonal parties and gatherings. A few weeks ago on Instagram I asked you guys if you wanted more casual or dressy holiday outfit ideas. Casual was the winner (by a lot), but there were a few on team dressy, and I think this outfit checks both boxes. A cable knit sweater with a feminine satin skirt and sparkly ankle booties, a holiday outfit that’s equal parts cozy and fancy. I love the idea of a monochrome red look particularly with the mixed texture of cable knit and satin. These pieces are gorgeous together but just as great on their own. Pair this sweater with a pair of coated denim and metallic flats. Style the skirt with a chunky knit sweater in a gorgeous neutral. When I first got these booties I questioned their wearability, but I’ve already worn them three times and definitely plan on styling them all season long. This colder weather has me getting into the holiday spirit much quicker than usual, and I’m perfectly ok with it!
It has been two years since we finished converting our garage into a bedroom and bathroom. I remember when we bought the house and one of the first things Craig said was that we should turn the garage into living…
I first discovered the French brand Sézane a few years ago through the recommendation of a friend. She said the French brand “was totally my style” and I had to try it out. Whether you’re a long time Sézane fan or a new shopper, today’s post is your ultimate guide to making your Sézane shopping experience easy and fun.
Yes we love Trader Joe’s for the dips, the snacks, delicious frozen meals, and the desserts, but can we all take a moment for the non-food items at Trader Joe’s. You’ve probably heard of a few, like the sunscreen that…

I’ve always loved the colour red but lately I haven’t been wearing it much (sadly). In fact, I don’t think I actually own anything red in my wardrobe! Jeez, I gotta fix that …
This is such a cute holiday look I need more red in my life.

I love an all red look I think it’s super duper chic!! Such a great statement look too!
Where did you get the velvet hair bow? It’s a really nice subtle detail!
I love this look, but red is really not may color, I like wine or burgundy more. It’s my skin tone I think. But you look stunning and I spy that velvet bow.
Ohhh I love red sweater and I love your sparkly ankle boots…have always wanted to grab them. Thank you for giving me ideas how to combine the colours and now I really want them both:))
I too have found a new obsession with the color red after purchasing a J. Crew red wool jacket for the fall/winter. I’ve received so many compliments on it and it has become a staple of my outfits. I’m always on the hunt for red pieces now! Love your outfit as always!
