Preparing for Our New Café Appliances

The time has finally come, this week our new Café Appliances are being delivered. Some of you may remember when I went to Louisville a few weeks ago for a brand immersion as a part of the Café Collective. It was a really fun experience with a group of other women (food bloggers, interior designers, fashion bloggers, lifestyle bloggers) to learn more about the Café brand and how it came to be.

We were invited on a factory tour which was one of my favorite parts of the experience. I love seeing how things are made, and the process that goes into making a fridge was incredible to see. The combination of robotics and teamwork from the people working on the factory floor was very cool to watch. Throughout the brand immersion we had different activities from making 3D mood boards to creating our own jewelry. The overall theme was about embracing our own personal style when making these things. What was so interesting to see over the course of the immersion, was how each woman, given access to the exact same materials, created such different and unique things. And that is really what Café is all about. The notion that you can inject your own personal style into your kitchen appliances and design.

To prepare for our new fridge, dishwasher and oven, we made some style changes to the Cozy Ranch kitchen once we found out we’d be working with Café. I was SO excited to find out that I would be able to get Matte White appliances we could customize. The biggest change was repainting the kitchen in Farrow & Ball’s Inchyra Blue. We knew we wanted something that would compliment the wood, bronze, and copper accents throughout the space. We decided to go with Brushed Bronze hardware on the appliances (though I really love the Brushed Copper too). The cool thing is, you can actually switch out the hardware if you change your mind.

I think what I am most excited about is seeing how the appliances transform our kitchen. The space has gone through so many phases, but this really feels like the missing puzzle piece that will make the space truly our own.

I can’t wait to share more with you over the next few months. Stay tuned for a full reveal of the kitchen with the new appliances coming VERY soon.
