This coat by Bernardo is the perfect transitional outerwear for the weather right now. One minute it’s freezing cold and windy, the next it’s mild and sunny. Loving these button detail flares from Paige, the length is perfect when worn with a 2-inch heeled bootie.

Craig and I visited a few mansions last week and were delighted to find out when we arrived that you can now take photos inside! It’s pretty challenging given that the lighting is very dark and it’s really much more special in person, but also fun to snap a few shots of the interiors (I’m obsessed with the bathrooms).
The only mansions open right now (during the winter months) are Marble House, the Elms and the Breakers. These photos were taken at the Marble House, what was once a summer home for the Vanderbilts. The mansion has 500,000 cubic feet of marble, yes you have to see it to believe it.

If you’re visiting Newport a tour of the mansions is a must. You can usually do self guided audio tours which is my favorite because you can go at your own pace but having an actual guide can be fun too.
In the summer Newport Film has some of their outdoor movies at the mansions, last summer at the Marble House. Make sure after the tour you explore the grounds, there are so many details you don’t want to miss!
