We were so lucky to get such nice weather while we were in California. It was unusually hot so we had a gorgeous day at the beach in Santa Monica. We got there early to beat the crowds and we basically had the place to ourselves.

The water was crystal clear but freezing, I dipped my toes in but didn’t swim, the water is so much colder on the West Coast.
I’ve been really wanting to try the off the shoulder trend so I love this top from French Connection because it’s simple and comfortable.

This button front denim skirt from them is perfect for spring (and summer). I love the more high waisted fit and the front pockets. Definitely will be wearing it back in New England with tights (ugh) until it’s warm enough to wear with sandals.
We walked around Santa Monica, sat on the beach and then ventured around the 3rd Street Promenade. We ate lunch at Lemonade which was so delicious. Looking back at all these photos is making me miss being in the warm sun! It feels like this was months ago and it was only last week!

Your style is gorgeous! The beach looks so nice. I can’t ever wear that to my beach. It is always too cold, even in the summer 🙁
