Are you tired of scrolling through Pinterest for hours, desperately searching for the perfect kitchen paint color that won’t go out of style? Look no further, because choosing kitchen paint colors is one of my favorite activities and today I’m sharing some of my favorite neutral kitchen paint colors.

Choosing the right paint color is crucial when it comes to designing your kitchen. It sets the tone and aesthetic for the entire space. When it comes to choosing the right paint color for your kitchen, neutrals are a timeless choice that can create a warm and inviting atmosphere while allowing other design elements to shine.

Whether you’re planning a full-scale renovation or just looking to freshen up your existing kitchen, you’re bound to find just the right shade with these neutral kitchen paint colors.

Neutral Kitchen Paint Colors

When selecting a neutral paint color, it’s essential to consider the natural light in your kitchen. Natural light plays a significant role in how colors appear, so it’s important to choose a shade that complements or enhances the light in your space. If your kitchen receives an abundance of natural light, you have a lot of options and may want to opt for a moodier neutral shade. On the other hand, if your kitchen lacks natural light, a brighter neutral shade can help create a cozy and inviting atmosphere adding light to a darker space.

Another factor to consider when choosing a neutral paint color is the overall style and aesthetic you want to achieve. Different shades of neutral colors can create different moods and styles. For a timeless and classic look, consider shades like creamy whites, beige, and soft grays. If you prefer a more modern and sleek aesthetic, you might lean towards cooler tones such as bright whites, light blues or cool grays.

Classic White

Let’s start with a classic: white. A white kitchen exudes cleanliness, simplicity, and a sense of spaciousness. It pairs well with any design style, from modern to farmhouse, and provides a blank canvas for adding pops of color through accessories and decor. Whether you opt for a crisp, bright white or a warmer, creamy shade, white never goes out of style and creates a timeless look that can be easily updated with minimal effort. Classic white paint colors:

Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace OC-65

Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace (OC-65) is a pure and crisp white paint color known for its clean and bright appearance. It can serve as a neutral canvas that allows artwork and architectural details to take center stage. It pairs well with both bold and subtle accent colors, offering versatility in creating various color schemes.

Clare Paint Timeless

The off-white you’ve been searching for. With creamy undertones, this shade has warmth and reflects light beautifully. Timeless is a soft off-white shade that provides a gentle and understated backdrop. It is not overly bright or intense, offering a muted and refined appearance. This subtlety allows other design elements, such as furniture and artwork, to take center stage. We’ve used Timeless in our RI Kitchen on the walls and as trim paint in our Vermont kitchen.

Sherwin-Williams Alabaster

Sherwin-Williams Alabaster is a versatile and popular neutral paint color known for its soft and timeless appearance. It has gained recognition as the 2016 Color of the Year by Sherwin-Williams. Alabaster is a highly versatile color that harmonizes well with different design elements. It can adapt to both warm and cool tones, making it suitable for a wide range of color schemes and decor styles. Alabaster is a popular choice for kitchen cabinets and walls in both traditional and modern interiors.

Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee

Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee is a highly popular and versatile paint color choice, particularly for kitchens. It is known for its warm and creamy off-white hue that exudes elegance and sophistication.

A blend of gray and beige, greige strikes the perfect balance between cool and warm tones. It’s a popular choice for those who want a neutral color that goes beyond traditional whites and grays. Greige works exceptionally well in kitchens with natural wood elements or stone countertops, as it brings out the warmth in those materials. This color adds a sense of sophistication and timelessness, giving your kitchen a modern yet classic appeal. Greige paint colors:

clare paint penthouse

Airy and refined, this ultra pale greige is the perfect mix of warm and cool. An understated shade that’ll bring a sophisticated vibe to any space.

Clare paint beigeing

A fresh, modern beige with subtle reddish undertones and a sophisticated, welcoming vibe. We used Beigeing in our Vermont kitchen on the walls throughout. The space is small and doesn’t get a ton of natural light, so it’s the perfect color to give some character and charm to the space.

Agreeable Gray by Sherwin-Williams

A warm greige color that blends gray and beige tones, providing a neutral and inviting backdrop for kitchen design.

If you’re looking for a neutral that adds depth and sophistication to your kitchen, consider a soft gray. Gray has become increasingly popular in kitchen design for its versatility and ability to complement a wide range of color schemes. It pairs beautifully with both warm and cool tones, making it an ideal choice for creating a balanced and harmonious space. Soft gray also adds a touch of elegance and can make your kitchen feel cozy and inviting. Gray paint colors:

A light gray with a subtle hint of blue-green, known for its fresh and airy feel, making it popular for kitchen cabinetry or walls.

clare paint windy city

If you have a kitchen that gets lots of natural light, consider Windy City. Beautiful and breezy — just like its namesake! A light to medium gray with a faint hint of warmth.

Beige and Cream

Beige and cream neutral paint colors are soft and subtle hues that evoke a sense of warmth and elegance. They often have a hint of yellow or beige undertones, resembling the color of fresh cream or light butter. Cream neutrals offer a versatile and timeless option for various design styles, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. Cream paint colors:

Benjamin Moore Cream Fleece

Cream Fleece is a warm shade that falls within the cream color family. It is a soft neutral hue that resembles the creamy color of natural fleece or warm ivory with warm undertones, lending it a subtle yellow or beige hue.

clare paint Neutral Territory

If you’re looking for a sandy neutral with warm undertones look no further than Neutral Territory. We’ve chosen this color for our exterior trim but it would be beautiful on kitchen walls or cabinets.

Pale Blue

While not a traditional neutral, pale blue can create a serene and refreshing atmosphere in your kitchen. Light blue shades, reminiscent of the sky and sea, can add a touch of tranquility and a sense of openness to your space. This color works particularly well in kitchens with ample natural light, as it enhances the airy and spacious feel. Pair it with white cabinetry and stainless steel appliances for a crisp and clean aesthetic. Pale blue paint colors:

Beach Glass by Benjamin Moore

Benjamin Moore’s Beach Glass is a soft and serene pale blue-green shade that is reminiscent of the delicate colors found in seaglass washed up on the beach. It exudes a tranquil and soothing vibe. The color has a subtle undertone of green, which gives it a refreshing and natural feel.

Beach Glass can be used in various design styles, including coastal, beach-inspired, and contemporary. It has more depth and would be suited well for a more open and well lit kitchen.

gentle gray by benjamin moore

Gentle gray by Benjamin Moore is a cool toned blue with gray undertones. This would be a pretty color to add to a kitchen with a coastal feel on walls or as a cabinet color.

Remember, the choice of neutral kitchen paint color ultimately depends on your personal style, preferences, and the existing design elements in your kitchen. Consider factors such as lighting, cabinetry, countertops, and flooring when making your selection. With the right neutral color, you can create a kitchen that is both functional and visually appealing.

Neutral kitchen paint colors provide a timeless look and make it easy to adjust your kitchen’s decor over the years. They’re also anything but boring. You can still use lots of color with neutral kitchen paint colors and let other design elements in the space shine.
