Ok so yes, it was a feels like temperature of 6 degrees yesterday and I kind of don’t want to talk about it. April is only a few days away and regardless of what Vermont decides to do with the weather I am mentally very much in spring, and dreaming about summer. I know hot days in tennis dresses and skorts will be here before we know it. I have some old favorites and new sustainable activewear I’m really excited about for the seasons ahead. Hiking, tennis, golf, biking and walks around the village with friends, I’m ready for ALL of it. Here is some of the cute, comfortable and very functional activewear I’ll be wearing this spring and summer.
Sustainable Activewear For Spring and Summer
This exercise dress is one of my favorite activewear finds from last summer. It’s comfortable, super light, supportive and so cute. I have it in provence and white (the white is a little see through unfortunately). It’s perfect for tennis but also great for anything. Walks, golf, hiking, and just everyday wear, especially with a toddler. It has a built in shorts liner with pockets, adjustable straps and I like that it’s not super short. Can’t say enough good things, if you’re looking for an exercise dress this is great. It’s really stretchy and runs a little big. If you want it fitted size down, if not order true size.
Vuori Daily Legging
I’m actually new to Vuori and I’m a fan. They probably need no introduction to most of you but if you haven’t heard of them they’re a sustainable activewear brand, famous for their joggers (they’re VERY comfy). The brand gifted me some leggings and sweats and I have been really impressed with the comfort and quality. I like that they have minimal waste packaging and use sustainable materials too. The daily leggings are really comfortable and I love them for walks, hikes, indoor tennis and yoga.
Pact Ribbed High Waist Legging
These ribbed leggings were a more recent purchase and they are so awesome. Definitely more of a spring legging than summer because they’re on the thicker side but absolutely perfect for right now. I love the ribbed detail and they’re super soft (made with organic cotton). I’ve been wearing these for everyday and also walks/hikes.
Summersalt do it all high rise legging 7/8
I got these last spring and they were one of my favorite leggings for the summer. Especially for outdoor yoga classes they’re not too thick or hot but provide good coverage from the sun. I like the 7/8 because they hit slightly above the ankle on me.
Lululemon Like New
I got a few leggings, tanks and a sweatshirt from Lululemon Like New and I was really impressed with the quality. Like New is their resale program where you can buy gently used Lululemon products. If you’re looking for second-hand Lululemon I definitely recommend checking it out!
I got this skort last year to wear for golf because seriously ladies golf clothing can be pretty rough. This is super cute and comfortable with built in shorts and hidden mesh pockets (honestly not super useful but a nice to have for a very small item like a debit card). I sized up as I do with most Girlfriend items. The fit is high waisted and hits mid-thigh.
I found this style when I was looking for skorts for this summer. It’s a super cute wrap style with built in shorts made from recycled materials. I love the white and it comes in a pretty light blue too.
Very soft and comfy bike shorts that aren’t too short or too tight. Made with organic cotton in a fair trade factory. These are great for the weekend with a button down or oversized tee. I also like them for biking to the beach or walks on hot days.
I have been on the hunt for a good fanny pack/belt bag to use for dog training and hikes/walks as it gets warmer. I was so excited to find this belt bag in Burlington at the Lululemon store. It’s the perfect size, has several zippered compartments, an adjustable strap and buckle and it’s made with water resistant recycled nylon. Yes! It’s so light and very comfortable to wear. It comes in a few other colors. I rarely wear things with pockets when it’s warm out so this is perfect.
Bras & Tops
Vuori Yosemite Bra
Really comfortable sports bra with just the right amount of support. It has removable cups and the fabric is super soft. I love the strappy back detail. I am not a runner but I’ve worn it walking, doing yoga and playing tennis and it stayed in place really well.
ribbed bra top
The best of both worlds, it’s half bra/half tank. This ribbed bra top is soft, stretchy and comfortable with plenty of support. Looks really cute with the ribbed bike shorts or ribbed leggings. Made with organic cotton and great for yoga, tennis, you name it.
Sunrise crop tank
A comfortable fitted tank, slightly cropped and great to pair with sweats or leggings. Good for walks, hikes and yoga.
Ok these are the “boyfriend” sweats I’ve always been looking for and never could find. They’re so soft and comfortable, not too heavy or thick and they’re just loose enough but not baggy. The waistband is really comfortable these are just great athleisure joggers. I went one size down in these.
Pact raw hem sweatshirt
I am so happy with this sweatshirt. It reminds me of one I had from Aerie that was cropped but this one is even better. Just the right length and perfect weight. Warm enough for spring but not too heavy. Made with organic cotton in a fair trade factory. I wear this a lot for indoor tennis and yoga. It’s also really cute with jeans.
