Jess Ann Kirby shares what to do in Newport, Rhode Island for the holidays, like visit Kristen Coates shop

This might actually be my favorite of all the holiday gift guides because there’s nothing better than shopping small. Not only are you giving something special and unique but you’re directly supporting a small business, artist, maker, etc. and making a direct impact on their livelihood and their community. These are just a few of my favorites with some gift ideas for the holidays.

Kristen Coates

Use code JESS15 for 15% off entire Kristen Coates website and in store (+ Free Shipping on all orders until 12/15)

Kristen Coates one of my favorite places to shop in Newport, from beautifully curated artwork to books, candles and more, you’re bound to find something for yourself or someone on your list. We have several pieces of art in our house that we love including a landscape by Helen Hadley, oysters by Grace Windsor (I love the oyster minis and they make such a nice gift), and a painting by Michelle Brunner.

Lazuli Handcrafted

20% off site wide

Erika is a local to Newport and you’ll find her shop Lazuli Handcrafted in the Newport Guide. Her beautiful pieces are hand crafted. I have a few of her rings (the peridot, the seashell, and the Herkimer Diamond) and the quality is incredible. Her seashell charm necklaces are also a favorite and would make such a special gift.

Lovici

JESSK19 for 10% off through 12/3

Catherine is one of my favorite local artists and her work speaks for itself. I have several prints throughout the house and I always get compliments on them. I got the Away print, Ocean Evening and a Monsterra watercolor in the nursery. I also have the Spell on U Print in my bedroom.

Greenlion

Kim creates the most beautiful arrangements and wreaths and my favorite part of decorating for the holidays is putting a Greenlion wreath on our front door. Kim has beautiful, sustainably made evergreen and dried wreaths on her site with free shipping and she’ll also be doing a pop-up at Kristen Coates, today November 30 from 10-9pm in you’re in town.

Farmaesthetics

25% off all products and free shipping

One of my all time favorite clean beauty brands also happens to be local. If you are in town you have to stop by their shop on Bellevue, but if not, you can shop some of their bestsellers on Amazon for 25% off and free shipping. I stocked up on some favorites like the herbal cleanser and body lotion (Craig loves them too) along with the vassar rose perfecting polish and sweet milk and lavendar exfoliant. This set would make a great stocking stuffer.

Culk

25-50% off site wide (no code needed), free shipping + two free pairs of socks on orders $75 through 12/1

You’ve probably seen me share Culk gear before, including my favorite rainbow sweatshirt, sailboat tee and be gentle crewneck. It’s always a favorite for gifts, Craig loves the socks (two pairs free w/ any purchase over $75) and sweatshirts, and there’s cute baby and kids stuff too.

Clam & Clasp

Buy one get one 50% off through 12/2

This ocean inspired jewelry brand also donates 20% of proceeds to ocean conservation non-profits. I have both the Advocate (penny size) and Inspire Necklace (penny size) as well as the transform necklace which would make such a sweet gift.

Shore Creative

Use code BLACKC for 20% off through 12/1

You might recognize Shore Creative from the Pet Portraits I’ve shared that I love and cherish or from the many illustrations she’s done for the site. She just released a new poster series and her Rhode Island crewneck makes a great gift (I got one for Craig and he loves it).
