It has been really hot. Sticky and humid. The walk outside and instantly start sweating kind of weather. I’ve been rotating through a few key pieces that are keeping me cool. Sitting in the kiddie pool helps too. Here’s my favorite wardrobe staples for really hot weather.
Hot Weather Wardrobe Essentials
I have this tee in several colors but white is my favorite. It’s thick but still light and breezy. I’ve spilled on this tee a bajillion times and always managed to get the stains out no problem, not to mention it’s held up to a ton of washing. I have this tee in size small and medium, small is a little loose and medium is oversized.
I LIVED in this dress last summer when I was pregnant and it’s still one of my favorites for everyday. It’s super soft and comfortable, washes well, and fits really nicely. It’s form fitting without being skin tight. I have a small which is a little loose but still has shape. I have it in the charcoal color. Also I went home and puked for the rest of the day after we took those photos (above). I do not miss being pregnant.
Sezane Conrad T-Shirt
A crisp white tee is one of my favorite wardrobe staples. This one is breezy and light but still a nice thick cotton that washes well. It fits pretty true to size so size up if you want an oversized fit.
I discovered this brand when I was working on updating my summer capsule. This linen tank (in S/M Natural) and these shorts (in Medium Natural) have been on constant rotation as a set and separates. I also ordered the shorts in small in Navy and I decided to keep both but I like the slightly looser fit of the Medium a little better. A few ways I’ve been wearing them: linen tank with my AGOLDE Dee shorts, linen shorts with my Sezane cotton tee, linen shorts with Rails button down.
I love my Tevas and I don’t care who knows it. Craig’s reaction to my Tevas was something along the lines of “you’ve given up.” Well I beg to differ Craig. If I’m being honest though, I remember when they came back a few years ago and there was a big influencer campaign and I thought, no I’m not on board for this. Well fast forward a few years, an aching back, and a baby and I AM ON BOARD. I lived in Tevas as a kid and I was very pleased to find this metallic champagne pair in the midform style (got a size 7 and I think they fit tts). They may be polarizing, but I’m team Teva. By the way I’ve been mispronouncing the word my entire life. It’s pronounced TEH-VAH (soft e) and it means nature in Hebrew.
