Kombucha Margarita Cocktail Recipe

For someone that can’t really drink any kind of alcohol without getting an immediate headache, I’m just as surprised as you may be to hear that tequila is one of the few liquors I can drink. Also margaritas are my favorite thing ever so I would probably be devastated if I couldn’t have them. Since today is National Margarita, a made-up holiday I can 100% get on board with, I wanted to share a kombucha margarita cocktail we’ve been loving. Today was the first time I made it with this pink tequila, Condigo 1530, and omg it is SO good. Of course you can make this with any tequila, but the pink sure does make it more fun.
Jess Ann Kirby shares her pink tequila and kombucha margarita recipe with Codigo 1530 tequila

Ingredients (Makes 2)

Codigo 1530 Rosa  (or any tequila but I don’t recommend anything cheap, you will most certainly regret that).
1 lemon
1 blood orange
2 limes
1/4 cup coconut water
1/2 bottle of AquaVitea Blood Orange Kombucha (or any brand with a similar flavor)
pink himalayan salt

Directions

Squeeze lemon, blood orange, and one lime into cocktail shaker. Add coconut water, kombucha and tequila (I measured out two shots). Add some crushed ice and stir (you can’t really shake the mixture because of the carbonation from the kombucha). Grind salt onto a plate, use a wedge of lime to cover the rim of two glasses lightly, then dip in the salt. Add crushed ice to glasses. Pour in kombucha margarita and garnish with a slice of lime.

Enjoy!
