Happy Monday! Craig and I had a great weekend up in Boston, and we’ve decided we need to go up there WAY more often. It’s so pretty with tons of great neighborhoods to explore, and the train is only an hour so it’s a super easy weekend getaway. Speaking of getaways, last weekend Craig and I teamed up with the newly renovated Marriott for a photo shoot with French Connection. In case you missed it, I shared some photos on their Instagram from our stay. Our room had stunning views of the Harbor (see my post here that we shot right across from the hotel). If you’re looking for a quick and easy getaway, Newport is a great destination, especially now when it’s a little more quiet but there’s still a ton to do. The Marriott Newport is easy walking distance to tons of great restaurants and shopping (check off some of your holiday list!). And on the topic of holidays, these two looks from French Connection are great for casual holiday style. Ending tonight, it’s 30% off all sale with code FC30SL. This coat is a favorite along with this leather skirt that I styled here.

You guys are such a beautiful couple! I love your style and when it comes to this outfit, that coat is such a wonderful piece!
Love the cardigan/jacket. Is it black? The linked product is black but it looks almost hunter green on you!? Either way, I love it but wanted some more info before purchasing! Thanks!
Hi Shannon! Yes it is black, probably just the lighting that makes it seem a little green in these photos 🙂
Just found your wonderful site!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! I have a beach house in Newport County and absolutely love the area…thank you for sharing your blog!
