Gift Ideas for Kids: Babies to Teens

I’ll admit, this wasn’t the easiest gift guide to put together. Kids have access to SO much technology now, it’s not abnormal to see a middle schooler on an iPhone. But I’d like to think there’s still room for some of the “oldies but goodies.” Things that my brothers and I and all of our cousins loved as kids. We didn’t have video games, iPhones or computers. We had books, games, and the good old outdoors. So here’s some of my gift ideas for kids, from babies to teens, that don’t require an internet connection or a charger. You can see the rest of my gift guides here and everything in my holiday shop here.

1. The Peter Rabbit books series was always a favorite of mine growing up. This is such a lovely set for parents to read to their babies and toddlers.

2. Who remembers pick up sticks? We used to loved playing this game, a great one to bring for a family ski weekend in the mountains.

3. Give the gift of fun outdoors with these sleds that are lightweight and easy to carry/travel with.

4. I’m not big on giving a young girl makeup, but skincare like these masks are a fun gift idea and this set would be great for a girls sleepover.

5. Love the color on this Patagonia down jacket, perfect gift for a teenager.

6. To this day this is one of my favorite books. You can’t go wrong with anything by Shel Silverstein. A book that can be passed on for generations.

7. Of course this pom hat already sold out but I found another adorable and super affordable version here.

8. I remember the year my brothers got harmonicas and they had so much fun with them. Such a great gift for girls or boys.

9. I loved getting anything I could draw or paint with as a kid. This set sold out quickly but Land of Nod has tons of great arts and crafts gifts and this art tool box from Target is a great option (and under $25!)

10. These little towel wraps for babies are the cutest thing ever.

11. Ok so one electronic type thing on this gift list but what teenage or college-age girl wouldn’t love these pink headphones?

So many great ideas! I don’t have kids but I have two nephews soon to be three nephews in February. Last year I got both my nephews a personalized puzzle made from a photo of them with us Aunts and Uncles and the doggies in our lives at a playground. They loved it! You can find them in all sizes on Etsy and other fun sites.
