If you’re up for a little adventure here are some recommendations for a fun way to explore when you’re ready to venture out of town.

If you are traveling to Woodstock you may be looking to explore to some of the other quaint and charming towns in Vermont. Lucky you, Vermont is a fairly small state and Woodstock is located centrally so you can easily explore many surrounding towns. One of our favorite southern Vermont towns is Manchester, Vermont. Manchester is known as the home to Hildene, former home to Abraham Lincoln’s son Robert, The American Museum of Fly Fishing, Southern Vermont Arts Center and Mount Equinox, not to mention a flourishing food and shopping scene.

Neighboring village to Manchester, Dorset, is a charming small country town with a darling bakery and general store. Manchester and Dorset would make an excellent day trip from Woodstock to see another beautiful part of Vermont.
