Fall Entertaining: Happy Hour at Home

There’s nothing better than a crisp autumn night sipping cocktails outside. I threw together a little at home happy hour with some girlfriends to celebrate the start of fall and to test out some new vegan recipes. I made a vegan pesto that was delicious (and Craig approved). We sat on the patio and snacked on crudite, cheese plates and sipped champagne cocktails. My favorite part, the floral tablescape I created with seeded eucalyptus, dahlias and apples. So simple, so beautiful and so fall. The full spread and the recipes are included in my feature on Camille Styles.  The best thing about all of these is you can prepare ahead of time so your time can be spent chatting and relaxing instead of cooking in the kitchen. I linked to all of my cheese platters and wood boards below, honestly they’re the trick to making any happy hour look fancy.

This tablescape is gorgeous! Did you cut or prep the flowers in any particular way so they would last longer?

This spread is amazing. The beautifully colored crudites are my favorite. Is it sad that I own three of the cutting boards (serving boards) you posted here. I love those kinds of pieces and I’m always buying them. Thanks for sharing these gorgeous photos!

Ooh, I can’t wait to hop over there and check out your vegan pesto recipe. I sort of came up with a traditional vegan basil pesto that I’ve been making a lot but I’m always looking for more options. Beautiful table and fur babies.
I’ve been meaning to mention that I live in Rhode Island too. there are not many bloggers that I know of in RI. It’s nice to have a blogger who totally inspires me living so close:)
