There are tons of trends this fall that I am super excited about, but I also wanted to take the chance to focus on some great basics that will hopefully not only make getting dressed a bit easier but maximize your options. First is the striped tee. The unexpected red, white and black color combo in this one lends a Parisian feel. You really can’t go wrong with a long sleeve stripe tee for Fall, on its own or layered under a blazer or suede moto jacket.

On to denim. Straight leg, flared, distressed, cropped, denim is certainly having a moment right now, but I love the easiness and simplicity of a great pair of black skinny jeans. They look good with flats, sneakers, heels and can be dressed up or down, definitely a worthy investment.

Give me all the lace-ups please. While this may be a trendier item, I think lace-ups are here to stay. Whether you prefer flats (I LOVE this pair) or heels there are so many gorgeous shoe options that will make any outfit look chic.

And last but not least, a timeless watch. I’ve been on quite the watch kick lately, primarily because it’s such an easy way to add an accessory that’s also completely functional. Jewelry can sometimes annoy me throughout the day, particularly when I’m on the computer, but a great watch is wearable anytime and will last you season after season.
