Fall is the best season for prolonging those summer staples you just don’t want to say good-bye to yet, and this weekend was quite possibly the most beautiful end of summer send-off (I know it’s already fall but it felt like summer!). I try to keep my denim shorts out as long as possible (I’m too old for the denim shorts and tights trick come late fall). I’ve being seeing a lot of denim on denim this season, which I love, but it can also be tricky to pull off, so I layered this look with a light gray sweater to break it up a little bit. I’ve been on quite the hat kick lately and I was a little intimated by this big floppy hat because I was afraid it would be too much, but I think it works with this outfit (and it’s under $30!). And can we talk about these boots from Talbots?! They are SO comfortable and stylish. I had a hard time deciding between the black and the brown but ultimately went with black because I didn’t have any other pairs that were similar. The leather is really soft and I don’t often wear shoes or boots without a heel but these are so chic and easy to wear with any outfit they’ll definitely be on rotation in my fall wardrobe. Hope everyone had a great weekend and is ready for the week ahead! Stay tuned for lots of fun fall content this week. xx

I always wanted to pull off this style. You did it effortlessly. The layers are just right, love the necklaces and the distressed denim is just enough. Love!
