Day to Night Dressing with J.McLaughlin and Margaux

There’s really no better day to night outfit than a chic pair of flats and a simple shift dress. Particularly in this heat, no clinging or sticking, just comfortable and breezy. Oh and did I mention this dress has pockets? Winning. I’ve been continuing to add pastels to my wardrobe, as they continue to show up season after season I think it’s safe to say they are here to stay. They’re much like a neutral these days, particularly the pale blues and blush pinks. I absolutely love this straw tote, it’s a nice change from a regular leather bag and can easily fit a smaller clutch for night. Another essential is this cashmere scarf which everyone should absolutely have in their wardrobe. This is one of those things that you will have (and wear) forever. Bring it with you when you travel, wear it to a wedding, throw it in your bag in case it gets chilly, bundle up with it when it’s cold, the possibilities are endless.
