We are currently in the depths of winter up here in Vermont. It’s been exceptionally cold in many parts of the country (at one point it was a feels like temp of -35 here) and staying warm is the name of the game. It can be easy to slip into the “I don’t care what I’m wearing right now I just need to not be cold” mode as the winter drags on, but you don’t have to compromise style to stay warm. Cute warm winter outfits are entirely possible. It’s all about the right layers, fabrics, and accessories to keep you warm, stylish and comfortable. Winter Outfit Staples
A long belted wool coat is a must in the winter. Not only is it so chic but it will keep you warm and cozy too. An absolute classic, a wool coat is always timeless and pulls together any outfit dressy or casual. The Sézane Mederick coat is one of my favorites.
Turtlenecks are one of my wardrobe essentials for the winter months. They’re great for layering especially under sweaters that have wool or cashmere. I like lighter fabrics and more fitted styles for under sweaters. A ribbed turtleneck sweater is another great style for cold weather.

A faux fur coat or teddy coat is one of my favorite winter wardrobe items. It’s cozy, stylish and warm. I’ve had my STAND Camille coat for over 5 years and it’s still one of my most worn pieces. It’s a great coat to dress up or down too.
Cozy and warm sweaters are a must during the winter months. I like to have a variety of styles in my winter wardrobe because it’s an item I wear so often. Light cashmere, chunky wool, ribbed cotton and a blend of those fabrics are typically what I like to wear. Try a tunic sweater layered over jeans or a cute sweater vest paired with a blouse or button down. You can’t go wrong with a cozy cardigan or cashmere sweater too.
Warm and waterproof winter boots are a must. I tend to wear my fur lined lug sole or UGG boots the most. I also really like my SOREL Explorer boots for walks and hikes.
