Click. Read. Love. + Columbus Day Weekend Sales

How do you find a light at the end of the tunnel when there’s so much darkness? A question I’m sure many of us are  struggling with this week (and honestly the past few months). Turn on the news any given day and there’s tragedy and sadness. What happened in Las Vegas this week is beyond heartbreaking and it’s difficult not to feel a sense of helplessness. I’d be lying if I didn’t admit it feels quite trivial to talk about fashion and outfits. But what I’ve recognized about living through these tragedies is that we have to find normalcy, and the good, in our daily lives. Finding joy in the little moments, spreading kindness and using whatever power we do have to create change. Wherever the weekend takes you, hopefully there’s some laughter and love mixed in.

If you’re looking for something to buy, try, read, share or pin, we’ve got you covered. Here’s the best of the week…

Yotam Ottolenghi can do no wrong in the kitchen. This recipe for chocolate cake looks versatile and delicious.

A really interesting long read on how culture shapes our ideas about mental illness.

A great read from Grace about staying sane in a digital world. I’m impressed and at the same time scared to give her experiment a try. (J)

Anyone who has ever had a sick or injured pet knows how intense the emotional burden is, but it’s often overlooked. Read about why that’s a mistake.

Honest, helpful job interview tips.

Winona forever. Who’s excited for season two of Stranger Things?! (C)

An interesting post from Julia on emotional labor.

The homemade sauces in these Korean dishes are delicious, versatile, and way better than takeout.

Who doesn’t love a good quiz?

For those of us looking to achieve balance these flow charts are pretty hilarious. (C)

Have you guys tried this best-selling (seriously, they can’t keep it in stock) face mask at Sephora?
