I hope all of you are doing ok, but I also understand if you’re not. It’s been a heavy few weeks (on top of a heavy year+) and I personally alternate between despair, anger, sadness, and gratitude. At the same time, I’ve also been absolutely blown away by how many of you stepped up to contribute to teachers across the country in clearing their lists. I’ve had so many amazing and emotional notes of gratitude from teachers who are absolutely blown away by the support from this community. I am just so proud, humbled and grateful to be a small part of it. I’ll work on updating it today but there’s still plenty of lists to be cleared.

We have a potential hurricane headed our way this Sunday so please send good vibes that it goes out to sea. I’ll be putting the finishing touches on everything for the launch of my ABLE collection which goes live Monday 8/23. I’m so excited to share it with all of you. Wishing you all a great weekend.

If you’re looking for something to buy, try, read, share or pin, we’ve got you covered. Here’s the best of the week…

The earthquake in Haiti has been absolutely devastating—here are some ways and resources to help.

Watching the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan has been horrifying, here are some resources to help support the people of Afghanistan. Also, women’s progress and safety in the country is seriously in danger, look into supporting organizations like Women for Afghan Women (WAW) who have been doing amazing work for the last 20 years. Locally, the Potter League has asked for support of Nowzad, a rescue organization located in Kabul they’ve partnered with over the years. They need help raising funds to charter a plane to evacuate their staff, 98 dogs and 88 cats.

Also, confused about what’s happening?

Here’s a little context if your feed has been full of Bama Rush videos.

If you’re a fan of Sally Rooney’s novels it’s time to get excited for her next one! This profile was really interesting.

I’ve been getting compliments on my skin and I think it’s because of the Saie Glowy Super Gel. It’s AMAZING and gives the most gorgeous dewy glow (without being glittery). I like both shades but lately I’ve been using Sunglow (this has replaced the Drunk Elephant Bronzi drops for me!). (J)

The wolf wars are back on between conservationists and ranchers.

If you’re feeling bummed about The White Lotus season ending, try Nine Perfect Strangers on Hulu, it’s definitely a similar vibe.

Ilia’s new volumizing mascara does not disappoint! It’s similar to their other lengthening mascara but definitely makes lashes look more full. (J)

Something we probably already knew—American shoppers are a nightmare and it’s only gotten worse because of the pandemic.

We’ve got hundreds of ways to get things done—and we still don’t! With all the apps and tools we have today, why can’t we master our productivity?

Everything you wanted to know (or didn’t) about the Delta variant and breakthrough infections.

The antidote to toxic positivity, “tragic optimism.”

How we live with the coronavirus, forever.

If you need a good personalized gift idea, I got my sitter this monogrammed jewelry organizer (she’s headed off to college) and it shipped really quickly. I also got her a White + Warren travel wrap (it’s her first New England winter) and my code JESS20 is still valid for 20% off.
