This was the LONGEST short week ever. Too much fun over the holiday weekend made it very difficult to get back into the work groove. Seeking a little R&R before some fun projects and trips over the next few weeks. Long live summer!

If you’re looking for something to buy, try, read, share or pin, we’ve got you covered. Here’s the best of the week…

Could this be the best bargain ever on a piece of furniture?

When Mark Bittman gives you a veggie burger recipe—you listen. Perfect for when you’re feeling a little burned out on beef patties.

The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is pretty major and early access starts next Thursday. Read my post from last year on how you can shop the sale first (stuff sells out fast!). (J)

This strawberry summer cake might be one of the best things I’ve every baked. Like ever. (C)

How to craft the perfect balance of weekend activities.

So it turns out that there’s nothing wrong with having high friend standards.

These sunnies were a big hit with everyone at the beach last weekend (and on IG stories). (J)

I have a girl crush on Ashley Longshore and you will too. (C)

Give me all the thrillers and mystery novels this summer. I just breezed through the Comoran Strike series. What are some of your other favorites? I need more recommendations! (C)

Forty ounces of sheer bliss. Bring this to a weekend BBQ and you’re sure to get invited back.

Happy Birthday Julia. Some great reflections on the last year.

This chickpea recipe seems full of flavor, inexpensive, and is nice and simple.

How genius is this style and furniture finder from West Elm?
