Happy Friday. We had a nice dusting of snow yesterday and it makes the whole town feel so magical and festive. It’s Wassail Weekend in Woodstock which is apparently a big deal full of festivities and fun activities (it was cancelled last year so we’ve never been). Unfortunately Marin is home sick, yes again, so we’ll have to see how she’s feeling. It might be a weekend at home. I have some gift wrapping and card writing to do, can’t even believe I was organized enough to order holiday cards.
If you’re looking for something to buy, try, read, share or pin, we’ve got you covered. Here’s the best of the week…
xx Jess

I’m already feeling winter stiffness so these stretches are great.
Opioids feel like love. That’s why they’re deadly in tough times. “Understanding the social nature of opioids and addiction should help policymakers better care for those who suffer from it.”
These are some of my favorite leggings for winter and they’re 25% off.
Do you remember the couch guy that went viral? The article he wrote is a reminder of the dangers of social media, and how private people can become the subject of unwilling fame and scrutiny from seemingly innocent content posted to the internet.
Verishop has a sale going until 12/15 with 20% off select items (code MERRY21). There’s a bunch of Farmhouse Pottery in the sale as well as Casafina Pacifica (amazing dishware). For beauty, the t3 wand and this pretty lipstick from Kosas (shade Rosewater- see here).
How do we feel about Pantone’s Color of the Year?
Lots of questions about my kitchen chairs this week on IG! I’m super impressed with the quality for the price. We have them in our RI house too. They do re-stock pretty regularly so I signed up for notifications (it took me a few tries before I actually snagged them).
I loved Grace’s essay about films that don’t hold up.
Having recently watched a lot of older movies I used to love, I’m realizing how many of them are quite problematic.
Just got these Sorel boots and they are the perfect combo of a boot/sneaker for winter weather. Very comfortable, light and warm. They run a little small, I went half a size up but some reviews say to go up a full size.
An easy holiday gift, my Follain skincare set! It’s only available through the end of the year.
Variety’s list of the top movies of 2021. I haven’t seen a single movie on the list yet, haha.
If you have any ski/snowboard lovers in your life, this new coffee table book by artist James Niehues is very cool. It features over 200 ski resort trail maps hand-painted by the artist. I got it for Craig!
The pandemic of the vaccinated is here. All I can say is, ugh.
If like me, you’ve been searching for something to hide your ugly tree stand that’s not enormous or expensive I found the solution! This basket is affordable and looks great under the tree.
I’ve been wearing the Saie bronzer everyday and it gives me such a boost to have a nice glow.

Enjoy your time off Jess. I wish I had some, but instagram I can do . I mostly watch you and Grace. Time to breathe and to try to get my life at least what I can can control ( very little) in some tolerable order. I’ll miss seeing your pretty and meaningful posts . I remember those sick days and calling the Pediatrician during his 8 to 9 am calling hours frequently. He gave my kids mostly penicillin. Maybe that’s why our immune systems are so weak now ?
Amazinggggg!.. as you said its really magical, i just read your blog and found it very awesome, thanks for sharing.
