How’s everyone doing? I know my answer hovers between 15 different emotions but I am happy we are all together again as a family up in Vermont. There’s still a lot of work to be done but I can’t get over what Craig has done in less than two months. I’ll share some updates on IG stories this weekend. We honestly have no plans for Thanksgiving, it will just be us. Given how everything is going with Covid right now that feels like the safest thing to do. Not how I imagined it for Marin but if this year has taught me anything it’s to take things one day at a time, throw away expectations and find new traditions to create. One thing is for sure, Nora and Fuji are not going to be impressed with the leftovers from a vegan Thanksgiving. Wishing all of you a safe holiday.

If you’re looking for something to buy, try, read, share or pin, we’ve got you covered. Here’s the best of the week…

I have a few more gift guides to post but you can find everything in one place here.

Emily in Paris and the rise of ambient TV—this is a very smart piece and explains a lot about why and how we watch what we do.

What Biden’s election can mean for student loan debt forgiveness.

My skin has been a bit of a disaster and this Pai cleansing oil has been so gentle and hydrating. You can use this to double cleanse (before another cleanser) or on its own. My Follain code jessannkirby will get you 10% off your first order.

So this is officially the only thing I’m making from scratch this Thanksgiving and I’m perfectly OK with that. (C)

The best way back if you’ve been feeling a little joyless lately.

I got this stroller footmuff for Marin and it was expensive but definitely worth the money. She’s super toasty on our walks, even when the temps are frigid. (J)

How art sustains us in times of crisis.

I bought this hand cream during the Sephora sale and it’s saving me right now. My hands are so dry in the winter to the point they hurt. This hand cream is really moisturizing, absorbs quickly and doesn’t feel greasy. (J)

The complexities of separating fact from fiction, this was such an interesting Q&A I can’t wait to read the book!

The final gasp of Donald Trump’s presidency—a terrifying and interesting look inside what was going on in the White House during election week.

Had to share this Black Friday deal on the BOB Revolution stroller. I got it for Vermont because I didn’t want to lug our other one back and forth. I did a bunch of research on the best strollers for snow and this one was always at the top of the list. It’s a bit bigger and heavier than our Bumbleride but I love it. It can handle tough terrain and it keeps Marin protected from the elements.

Who’s watching the newest season of The Crown? This is a very smart piece about why we care so much about Diana’s dresses.

When Covid hit, I started walking 20,000 steps a day. It’s changed my life.

Just in case you’re looking for some lighter fare for Thanksgiving: radicchio and sweet potato salad with candied nuts.

We are loving our Whistle GPS and health tracker for the dogs (received as part of a collaboration with them). It would be a great gift for pet parents and their Black Friday sale is up to $100 off!

I can’t remember if I already shared these or not but I got these dining chairs in black and the matching counter stools for the kitchen in Vermont and I love them! Not too heavy, great quality and comfortable. (J)
