Jess Ann Kirby's black cat Hunter gets comfy in bed at The Cozy Ranch

Hunter is all of us just trying to get to the weekend. Speaking of, he had his social media debut this week and seems un-phased, better yet, annoyed by all the attention, typical. Here’s to (another) weekend of Marie Kondo’ing The Cozy Ranch, yes we’re still going. This will basically be us when it’s over.

If you’re looking for something to buy, try, read, share or pin, we’ve got you covered. Here’s the best of the week…

Can you imagine? This scientist creates scents that smell like people.

Huge favor (again). If you haven’t yet, or even if you have, you can vote for us in the Best of Home Liketoknow.it Awards until January 31. Click here to vote (click on my name and wait for it to turn pink). THANK YOU!!!!

PSA for the locals—if you haven’t been, I’m pretty obsessed with Hometown Poke in Providence. The food is great and my control freak tendencies are satisfied by getting to build my own bowl. (C)

Someone asked me to recommend a great winter Chelsea boot and I live in these (and they’re 50% off right now!).

Think outside the realm of standard salad with this chipotle sweet potato noodle salad with roasted corn.

Is this the key to better sleep?

Feeling stuck with what you want to do? This one question might be the best way to figure it out.

How to help furloughed government workers. If you’re local, here’s a list of organizations and businesses in RI helping unpaid workers.

Some really smart questions to ask yourself about race.

2019 paint color trends, I think @thecozyranch is on to something with the blue/green kitchen.

Loved this post from Grace about feel-good Instagram accounts to follow. (C)

Hilarious tweets from parents “Tidying Up” with Marie Kondo.

Frigid temps and too much precipitation means making soup on repeat—trying this one soon: cozy cabbage and farro soup.

I ordered this book from Jess’s list of what she’s reading this year and I am absolutely loving it. (J)

How to shoot a double exposure photograph—the results are stunning.

This year’s most popular plants, we have a few of these, I LOVE the red prayer plant. (J)

Looking for an eco-friendly cleaner that will kill germs and isn’t dangerous—Force of Nature’s technology is really compelling.

This Barbour jacket is included in my upcoming capsule wardrobe post (and it’s on sale right now). I have it in an 8, recommend reading the size description on the Nordstrom website, it’s a little roomy on me but good for layering. (J)

Have you guys watched the Fyre Fest documentaries? Craig and I watched the Netflix one last night and we were so pissed by the end we couldn’t sleep. Now we need to watch the Hulu doc to compare.

I watched the Fyre Festival doc last week on Netflix and got pretty angry too. What a bunch of douchebags those guys were (especially Billy and Ja Rule). Last night, I watched the first episode of the new Ted Bundy doc and I don’t think I’ll be continuing. I couldn’t sleep last night at all – that doc was way too creepy.

Hey, I know you guys also love binging on Netflix on snowy days. I have been in the house sick and I found a mind blowing series on my AMC or Sundance called “A History of Witches” . It is Amazing and I watched the whole first season in one Day yesterday . It’s from a series of books and takes place in modern London to start at Oxford. Scenery is gorgeous . It has everything you could imagine of the Occult, mixed with modern forbidden love and a study of the other species that secretly inhabit the earth. I loved it and it came from the UK and Canada and has already been renewed for Seasons 2 and 3 here. I hope that you can find it and see it. It is so exciting and so well done!!
    Enjoy!!!

I live down the street from Hometown Poke but I still haven’t been. I don’t eat raw fish, so I wasn’t sure if their other options were going to be worth it but maybe I should give it a try!
