It only happens a few times a year but this is hands down one of Shopbop’s best sales. Their buy more, save more event is great because it’s up to 25% off full price in season pieces. So, I thought this was a really good opportunity to share some things from the capsule wardrobe you can find at Shopbop. I should mention I wasn’t really planning on sticking strictly to the capsule when I created it, but I think the combination of trying to save money for the new fixer upper and not wanting to make wasteful purchases has kept me from shopping (with a few exceptions). A capsule is not for everyone, and I should also mention that the pieces I’ve included in mine are not the ONLY things I wear, I have multiple versions or variations of certain things, but it is a nice guide that has made getting dressed easier and forced me to think more about how and when I buy. So, all of that is to say, this is a great sale, and there’s lots of pieces I have in my wardrobe available in it, but in no way I am trying to say you need to go get all of these things. And you also don’t need to have a capsule wardrobe. I’m pretty sure you guys already know that, but just wanted to offer it up as a reminder. I’ve also included some thoughts on sizing and how certain pieces run but it does kind of depend on your body type. That’s all I got for ya! Happy Monday.

Agolde Dee Shorts
A fan favorite for obvious reasons. I have the Agolde shorts in the Parker and the Dee. I like them both, a lot, but if I HAD to pick one, it would be the Dee. They are just the perfect fit. I wear and wash them to death and they just keep getting better. The Dee run tts (I have a 24) and the Parker run big (I have a 23), that said I have no ass (unfortunately, eventually maybe I will start doing squats). This photo is from last summer, I was rocking all pieces from the capsule before the idea of doing one had even crossed my mind.
White & Warren Cashmere Travel Wrap
If you know, you know. This is one of my favorite wardrobe items, period. I have it in two colors, camel heather and grey heather (I gave the striped to my Mom). For me, it’s a year round item, even in the summer, nights are chilly in Newport. It’s great in the winter to bundle up and stay warm, it’s nice for travel, it’s perfect to use as a wrap for a dressier event like a wedding. A lot of you have asked me about what color to get, it’s really hard to say, but I would suggest looking at your current wardrobe, if you lean towards more black, grey, white maybe get the grey and if you lean towards more tan, camel, white maybe go with the camel heather. Honestly you can’t go wrong with either.
All Star 70s Oxford Sneakers
These are the slightly better looking, more comfortable version of the converse sneaker. One of my favorite stylish sneakers at a super affordable price. I always bring these with me on warm weather trips too. These fit me tts (wear a size 7).
Madewell Transport Tote
A classic leather tote that just gets better with age. I’ve had this bag for years and it’s still as timeless now as it was when I first bought it. I have the tan but I like the black version with brown leather handles too. There’s also a crossbody version with a zip closure.
