Trends come and go all the time, but one thing every woman should have in her closet is a camel wool coat. Timeless, classic and chic it’s one of the most versatile pieces you’ll ever own. Similar to a classic black pump, it’s a reliable go-to for any occasion, dressy or casual, work or weekend. It has that laid back effortlessly chic appeal, the French girl look. Admittedly I have more than one in my closet, and this season has some refreshing and minimalistic updates to the classic. This one from French Connection is one of my favorites because of it’s stripped down simplicity. No bells and whistles and yet still so sophisticated and cool. For this season’s take on menswear, DVF’s double breasted version is slightly masculine and perfect for layering. For a more feminine fit, try this cinched at the waist robe version. If you’re looking for petite sizing this Ralph Lauren version comes in all sizes. For the ultimate luxury you can’t go wrong with the iconic Max Mara belted camel cashmere blend coat. This one from Boohoo is a great budget friendly option for under $100. However you style it, the camel coat is a classic staple you’ll have forever.
