PHOTOGRAPHY BY CRAIG MACKAY
Craig and I were lucky enough to head up north for some snowboarding at Loon Mountain the past few days. We had a blast on the Mountain, the conditions were perfect and the sun was shining. Before we left we picked out some new winter boots from BOGS Footwear, which could not have come at a better time since neither of us invested in winter boots this year, BIG MISTAKE. We’ve had more snow than I can ever remember and we are constantly trekking through either ice, slush or snow walking the dog, running errands and just trying to get to the car. My biggest challenge has always been finding a pair of snow boots that are warm, functional AND durable. I get cold really easily and I’ve yet to find snow boots to keep my feet warm and dry, until now. The two of us I think have become unofficial spokespeople for BOGS (apparently a lot of people around here already own them!) but neither of us were familiar with the brand. From shoveling out our walkway to driving up North to walking around the mountain and apres ski we were both living in our boots (we both wore them barefoot to the pool and outdoor hot tub too). If you’re looking for a pair of boots that will keep your feet warm AND dry I can’t recommend these enough. For the weather we’ve been having here in the Northeast these are the perfect everyday boots. BOGS also makes rain boots, work boots, steel toe boots and hiking boots among others. I can’t wait to get my next pair. With all of this snow I’ll definitely need a pair of new rain boots this spring!
