I can’t help but make fun of myself in this post. I mean honestly, who hangs on a fence like that in real life? Maybe, just maybe, if we were in Brooklyn or Manhattan and were walking ALL day and were on a stoop talking to friends, but clearly, I’m just leaning on this fence, on a quiet street in Newport because I figured it would look cool. Blog pictures are a weird thing, I want them to look as normal/natural as possible, but I also want them to be fun to look at, and it’s quite the delicate balance sometimes trying to mix the two. Craig and I are both a bunch of amateurs when it comes to photography so there’s a lot of experimenting going on over here on a pretty regular basis. But it’s fun (97% of the time-if either of us are hungry it’s really unpleasant), and it’s all worth it when you get that shot that you really love (which for me happens about every three months-I know be less self-critical, love yourself, blah blah blah). All joking aside, it’s easy to get caught up in always trying to wear something “interesting and unique” but lately I’ve been simplifying my style, and I like it, and that’s fairly black and white.
