Best Men’s Winter Boots

Casual/Stylish Winter Boots For Men

A casual or stylish winter boot for men is a staple piece for the season. This is a boot that can be versatile in everyday wear getting to and from work, walking around town and even wearing out for date night. The casual winter shoe is a shoe that looks good and feels good and keeps feet dry and warm amongst wintery conditions.

timberland redwood falls boot

Craig has a similar version of these Timberland boots from a few years ago that are still in great condition and super comfortable. They’re waterproof and great for those ocassions when you need something a little dressier but also practical for winter weather.

Men’s Mac Hill Mid LTR Boots

I got the Men’s Mac Hill Mid LTR Boots from Sorel for my husband last Christmas and he wears them pretty much everyday. They are versatile in that they wear like a sneaker but are waterproof, fashionable and have great tread. He even wears them hiking sometimes! Runs true to size.

Men’s Mountain Classic Quilted Ankle Boot

The Men’s Mountain Classic Quilted Ankle Boot from L.L. Bean is a great slipper/boot option. Craig has these and they are a perfect “backyard slipper” for the winter months keeping his feet toasty warm and dry. Whether he’s taking the dogs out, getting in the hot tub or grabbing firewood, the Mountain Classic is his go to slip on winter boot.

Men’s Snow Boots

Men’s snow boots need to be made from durable, waterproof materials and provide a sturdy sole and tread. These are boots they can trek out in the snow in and not have to worry about snow or slush seeping through. They should also be waterproof and insulated for extra warmth.

Men’s VECTIV Fastpack Insulated FUTURELIGHT Boots

The Men’s VECTIV Fastpack Insulated FUTURELIGHT Boots from North Face are Craig’s favorite for this season. They are lightweight, durable, insulated, waterproof, comfortable, have a sturdy tread and designed to take on any winter activity from walking to hiking.

The Explorer WP Boot

Similar to one of our favorite women’s snow boots (The Explorer II Joan Faux Fur Boot), The Explorer WP Boot for men by Sorel is equally comfortable, durable and waterproof. Perfect for your man’s outdoor adventure in the slushy snow, these boots will keep him warm and dry!

Men’s Winter Work Boots

Winter work boots need all the things a winter boot has–insulation and water resistance as well as a sturdy structure to protect the foot from hard impact work.

Blundstones

The Men’s All Terrain Thermal and the Men’s Thermal Chelsea Blundstone Boots are both waterproof and built to withstand the elements. These sturdy leather boots are designed with shearling footbeds and thinsulate insulation to keep your feet warm and dry. Could also double as a great casual, everyday boot for men.

Bogs Classic High Adjustable Calf Boot

The Bogs Classic High Adjustable Calf Boot is a great option for men working outdoors, shoveling snow or even ice fishing. Made with neoprene and rubber for a fully waterproof construction and neo-tech insulation for warmth even in the coldest temperatures.

Winter Hiking Boots

When shopping for winter hiking boots it is also important to consider a sole that has adequate tread to make you feel sturdy and secure on those icy, snowy hikes. You will also want a boot with the proper insulation and water protection to keep your feet warm and dry!

Larimer Mid Waterproof Boots

Craig has the The North Face Larimer Mid Waterproof boots and loves them as well. They make for a great everyday walking winter boot and even work for hiking. They are comfy and keep your feet dry amongst the elements and they’re stylish enough for an everyday sneaker in winter.

Keens Revel IV Mid Polar Boots

My husband also has a similar style to the Keen Revel IV Mid Polar Boots. These are a super sturdy boot, versatile and great for everything from winter hikes to working. They are warm, waterproof, sturdy and provide great tread.

Danner Arctic 600 Side-Zip Boot

Not only is the Danner Arctic 600 Side-Zip Boot a great winter hiking boot, but it is versatile enough to also work for everyday wear. The tread is perfect for icy, slippery conditions, they are also waterproof and insulated to keep your feet toasty and dry. We also included the women’s version of the Danner Arctic in our Winter Boots Buying Guide.

spikes

Another option for winter hiking is adding spikes to a winter boot. The Kahtoola MICROspikes Traction System are a great option to ensure safely trekking along icy conditions.
