CHAMBRAY SHORTS (wearing small) / PRINTED SHIRT / LACE UP SANDALS / WATCH

When I saw this blouse it immediately reminded me of the seat covers I bought for my first car. Pretty sure almost everyone had them in high school, the baja blanket style print with bright colors and the worn look so you can’t tell if they’re brand new or really old. Paired with these relaxed chambray shorts and lace up sandals the whole look feels very West coast to me. And one of our favorite spots on the water with it’s rocky coastline, (small) cliffs and wildflowers blooming is very much resembling the left coast these days. For these hot and somewhat humid days we’ve had, light and breezy separates are an easy uniform to stay cool and somewhat less sticky. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite chambray shorts for this summer from Nordstrom below (also love this baja sweatshirt for cool nights at the beach). I just received my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale catalogue in the mail yesterday and there were some REALLY good pieces. I’ll be sharing a post next week detailing everything you need to know about the sale.

Hi Jess! I am in love with your sandals and I am a huge fan of chambray. I have had a H&M one for years and never see anyone wearing chambray as it seems it’s all about denim these days. Chambray is so soft on the skin too so very much one of my favs. Such a cool and yet feminine combo. Beautiful pics by Craig, I am fan of his photography style! Hugs from London, Julie
