I’m so excited to finally share the photos from my trip to upstate to New York with Anne Klein. I had never been to the Catskills and it was truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. Set amidst a stunning natural backdrop of mountains, creeks, old bridges, abandoned train cars and the funky town of Phoenicia a group of us set out to capture Anne Klein upstate. Our first day it was raining really hard, and as we drove along the windy mountain roads we stumbled upon the stunning bridge that provided the perfect cover from the downpour. Of course for my first look I immediately reached for plaid pants. Paired with a striped blouse, sweater and ankle boots gave the whole look a sophisticated but laid back vibe.
Later in the evening we headed to the Phoenicia Diner (which I highly recommend if you’re in the area). From the menus to the decor it’s a very cool spot to hang out. I wore a velvet maxi skirt (ultimate comfort) with a cable knit sweater. It would be a great holiday look for a dinner party.
The next morning we had an extra early start to catch the beautiful morning light. All over the town of Phoenicia are abandoned train cars (some have even been converted into stores) and we found a beautiful old train car to photograph the third look. A few snow flurries fell as we explored the train and then moved on to a beautiful bridge overlooking a river. I wore a striped sweater, blazer, jeans and knee high boots. All perfect wardrobe staples and a great outfit for walking around town and checking out the cute little shops and restaurants.
After breakfast we explored town a bit more. I wanted to be cozy so I wore a velvet blazer and striped sweater to stay warm. I definitely fell in love with Anne Klein’s collection of blazers during the shoot. The tailoring is impeccable and they add polish to any outfit.
After packing up and heading out from the Graham & Co where we stayed we stopped at an antique store on the way home. I went for comfortable and classic on the drive home with a navy blazer, cable knit sweater and blouse with jeans. When all else fails, you can’t go wrong with a classic blazer and jeans.
It was such an incredible trip to the Catskills with Anne Klein, Fohr Card, Emma, Apneet and Rachel. I can’t thank Fohr Card and Anne Klein enough for bringing me along for such an amazing experience.
