Skincare & SPF Favorites
Here’s a video of easy makeup with Saie Sunvisor. I use this product everyday. It’s an amazing SPF with a dewy finish. It’s hydrating and melts into skin. It goes on sheer and feels so lightweight on the skin.
TAOS AER SPF 30 Mineral sunscreen
Just discovered this SPF 30 mineral sunscreen available at Follain and I am so impressed. It doesn’t leave a white cast, rubs into skin easily and provides really good sun protection. We had two very hot and sunny days this weekend and I used this on Marin and myself (without reapplying) and neither of us were burned. We were in the sun for about 3 hours and in the water too. I applied it to my face too and it didn’t clog my pores or make me break out.
I discovered Naturopathica Manuka Honey Cleanser from Tara, the founder of Follain a few years ago per her recommendation. It absolutely healed my skin. If my skin is acting up at all, feeling dry, breaking out, etc. I reach for my manuka honey cleansing balm. I never let this run out it’s so good for my skin.
This is one of my favorite clean beauty products of all time. Every time I try to switch it up with a cleanser I end up right back with this. It just can’t be beat for getting that really nice clean feeling without stripping. It smells incredible. It’s really gentle and does a great job at removing makeup. I love it in the morning because the smell is a nice pick-me-up.
This has been my toner for years. I use it morning and night. It’s the first step after my cleanser and before the rest of my routine (serum, moisturizer, etc). I also like it as a skin refresher throughout the day because it’s hydrating and soothing.
Follain Vitamin C Serum
I think this serum has been a game changer for my skincare routine. It’s phenomenal on its own, but studies have shown that combining vitamin C serum and broad-spectrum sunscreen is more effective at neutralizing free radical damage from sun exposure than just using sunscreen alone. This formula from Follain is lightweight, hydrating, absorbs well and doesn’t feel sticky. It’s why I included it in my skincare kit!
I stock up on this whenever it’s on sale because it’s the only moisturizer Craig will use. It’s very gentle and he says it’s the only thing that doesn’t make his face itchy. I use it on Marin too after bath time.
I am huge fan of the Follain masks (did this one last night). The detox mask is great for resurfacing and purifying because it has AHAs and BHAs but it’s also SUPER creamy so it doesn’t dry you out. Always leaves my skin feeling clean and glowing and great for when my pores are feeling clogged and skin is feeling dull. A great one for summer to cleanse and purify pores from all that SPF!
Follain Ultra Hydrating Mask
My go-to skin treatment for dry skin, windburn, too much sun or when I just need a refresh. This mask is creamy, gentle and always brings my skin back to life. Leave it on for 20 minutes or like me, leave it on overnight for incredible results and smooth, hydrated skin in the morning.
Makeup and Hair Favorites
I wear this mascara everyday. It doesn’t flake or make my eyes itch and maybe, most importantly it’s not impossible to get off at night when I was my face. It’s amazing for lengthening and volumizing.
Here’s my full review. I LOVE this product. It’s a medium coverage tinted moisturizer that melts into skin and provides SPF 35 mineral sunscreen protection. It’s hydrating and glowy and I highly recommend. I use shade 3.
Rahua Hydration Detangler & UV Barrier
My go-to hair protection spray for summer. This detangler has morete oil, a natural UV protectant to shield hair from damaging UVA rays. I like to spray it in after I get out of the shower, then comb through with this brush. It doesn’t weigh down my fine hair either!
rahua voluminous dry shampoo
I have a hard time with things on my scalp because it’s so sensitive and I really like this dry shampoo because it doesn’t irritate my scalp at all! Dry shampoo is my BFF come summer time and this one gives tons of volume and makes my hair look totally refreshed.
Follain Home & Body Favorites
Follain Resurfacing Body Scrub
This body scrub from Follain is so so good! It’s a new product from the brand and a great one for summer. I’ve been using it once a week to exfoliate and it’s especially great to use before self-tanning. It’s a blend of physical and chemical exfoliation with lactic and glycolic acid as well as densely-packed granules of Hydrated Silica (a mineral) to get rid of dead skin cells and dry patches.
FOLLAIN CANDLE NO. 1 AND 2
I always have these candles on hand. They’re made from sustainable vegetable wax and an all-cotton wick, and scented with essential oils.
Follain Everything Soap
I keep the Follain everything soap at every sink in the house. It’s super gentle, both the lemongrass and lavender smell amazing and are scented with essential oils. They are cruelty-free, vegan and have no synthetic fragrance.
Follain Hand Cream
I just bought a bunch of these for Marin’s teachers. They’re great to throw in your handbag or keep at your desk. It’s super nourishing and gentle.
Follain x organic bath co naked skin cream
A perfect pairing, Follain collaborated with Organic Bath Co., a Boston based natural skincare brand to create this rich, creamy and nourishing body lotion. It absorbs quickly and is amazing for dry (and sensitive) skin.
