10 Great Places for Brunch in Rhode Island

Rogue Island

A great brunch menu, with everything from donuts to bagels to avocado toast. They also have the traditional options like eggs benedict with tater tots, and because it’s Rhode Island, a lobster roll. Their house cocktails feature tasty options like a lime and cranberry margarita or an Irish coffee. The best part, their menu items feature fresh ingredients from 20+ local farms and purveyors. They are also great at accommodating large groups! 65 Weybosset Street Suite 108, Providence, RI

Nick’s on Broadway

This Providence favorites services brunch Wednesday-Sunday. The menu has lots of yummy comfort food and features lots of Rhode Island grown ingredients. Don’t miss the buttermilk pancakes with whipped cream and granola crunch! 500 Broadway Providence, RI

Jiggers

This old school dining car style restaurant is a crowd favorite for brunch. We’ve never been when it’s not busy so plan ahead and be prepared for lots of RI classics and favorites, like Johnny Cakes and Cabinets (IYKYK). They source from lots of local brands and farms too. 145 Main St., East Greenwich, RI

Bayberry Beer Hall

A great spot for a casual date or group meet-up, there’s maybe only one or two individual tables. The rest are communal. But don’t worry, somehow the people you end up sharing a table with are always super nice. It’s a great spot for families with younger kids. Local ingredients, portions sized to share, and a great menu with everything from kale caesar salad to chicken and waffles. 381 West Fountain St., Providence, RI 02903

Ocean House

If you want to go all out, you’ll love the Sunday jazz brunch at the Ocean House. Situated in scenic Watch Hill (yes next to Taylor Swift’s house), Ocean House is a beautiful beach front resort with views of the Atlantic that on a clear day go as far as Block Island. The Sunday brunch is pretty extravagant with everything from pastries and raw bar to fresh made-to-order crepes. The menu is a fixed price for adults and children. Call ahead for a reservation. 1 Bluff Ave., Watch Hill, RI.

Julian’s

Delicious, affordable food and a fun pop-culture feel, Julian’s practically always has a wait. But honestly the food is so worth it. The menu is massive so even picky eaters will always be able to find something. Their creative with the menu items too, they have a cocktail called The Shirley Temple of Doom. Order one of their hashes, especially the crimini mushroom and Boursin. It’s crispy, gooey perfection that puts regular hash browns to shame. I always order a version of Eggs Benedict too! Again, anything you get will be tasty, so get adventurous or even better go with a bunch of people and share it all. 318 Broadway Providence, RI 02909

The Boat House

While you can never go wrong with any of their raw bar—they have great oyster varieties—I love that they have Croque Madame on the menu too. If you’re feeling especially into New England classics, go with their lobster roll and the Hall of Fame chowder. Good food, great views, and attentive service; you’ll love every scenic minute of it. 227 Schooner Drive Tiverton, RI 02878

Perro Salado

Delicious Mexican food in such a cozy environment, I always feel so comfortable and un-rushed at Perro. Try the El Perro Domingo, tasty scallion corn cakes topped with eggs and cheese or the Sticky Pork Ribs. The meat has so much flavor and just falls off the bone. I’d say order them to share, but if you have a huge group order multiples. There won’t be enough to go around! They also have tasty quesadillas that can be filled with veggies, braised beef or short ribs. Oh and double up on their jalapeño bacon side. 19 Charles Street Newport, RI 02840

Clarke Cooke House

A true Newport staple, dine on brioche french toast and eggs benedict. Great for people watching and if you’re lucky a harbor front table to take in some salty air while you sip mimosas. And of course don’t forget about the oysters! 24 Bannister’s Wharf Newport, RI

Stoneacre Brasserie

You won’t be disappointed by a meal at Stoneacre. The restaurant features a seasonally changing menu with local, fresh ingredients, with products sourced from local farmers, butchers and fishermen. Their inventive cocktail menu and impressive wine list is not to be missed. There is ample space at the bar, and even during busy season it still feels spacious. A great place to grab weekend brunch. 28 Washington Square Newport, RI 02840
