It wasn’t until we started looking for fixtures for our kitchen and bath that we realized how difficult it is to choose. During our search, we realized found a lot of conflicting opinions about picking a finish: brass, nickel, gold, silver, bronze, etc. I was overwhelmed to say the least, but we kept going back to one finish, Champagne Bronze, and the same brand, Delta. It just looked good with every other design decision we made in both the bathroom and the kitchen. There were some articles and posts I read about brass/gold finishes being too trendy, but to be honest I think the opposite. A lot of you have emailed me since I’ve posted some of my bathroom and kitchen photos saying you decided to go with the same finish after seeing it installed. To me, it’s reminiscent of old classic New England while still feeling clean and modern. I honestly couldn’t be happier with how the finish looks in the bathroom and kitchen. I’ve had so many emails and messages on Instagram asking about the fixtures I wanted to share all the details about what we chose.

The Bathroom

A bit contrary to what we picked for the kitchen, we wanted a more traditional look for the bathroom faucet. This Victorian faucet in champagne bronze was perfect and I love how it looks with our gold mirror and marble top vanity.
For the shower and tub we chose this Trinsic Monitor 17 Series H2Okinetic Tub & Shower Trim. One of the best features is that it has a valve to keep water temperature within a safe +/-3 degrees so if someone uses water elsewhere in the house there’s no drastic change in water temp (huge bonus for us as we have older plumbing).

The Kitchen

I am so in love with this Trinsic kitchen faucet it’s hard to describe in words. It’s so beautiful and at the same time easy to clean, sleek and super practical. Just a few of my favorite features:
Touch2O® Technology means you can simply touch anywhere on the spout or handle to start and stop water
Automatically shuts off after four minutes to conserve water
Pull down faucet makes it easy to clean and spray without making a mess all over the counters and kitchen
Let me know if you have other questions about our renovation process. I know a lot of you are curious about our butcher block countertops so I’m going to do a full post on how they’re working out and what we’re doing to maintain them. Stay tuned for more home content coming soon.

A huge thank you to Delta for providing us with the fixtures in our kitchen and bathroom.
